Claim 1. A method of dispatching deliveries comprising: (a) receiving a plurality of delivery orders; (b) grouping the orders into batches using a travel time matrix; (c) re-grouping the batches when a new order arrives within a batch window of 90 seconds; and (d) transmitting each batch to a driver device.
Claim 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the batch window is adjusted according to the number of drivers available.
Claim 3. The method of claim 1, wherein step (b) uses a heuristic that limits each batch to no more than eight orders.
Claim 4. A system configured to perform the method of claim 1.

Prosecution note: during prosecution the applicant narrowed claim 1 by adding "re-grouping within a batch window of 90 seconds" to overcome prior art disclosing static batching.
